FAQ's
- I am not a resident of STGH, can I join?
You certainly can. Memberships are open to everyone.
- Am I eligible for a discounted membership?
Discounts are offered to the following groups:
i. Student discounts - 65% off subscriptions and 50% off the entrance fee
ii.18 – 24 years of age discounts - 50% off subscriptions and 50% off the entrance fee
iii. 25-28 years of age discounts - 25% off subscriptions and 50% off the entrance fee
iv. Overseas Residents discounts - 50% off subscriptions
Proof of residents will be required, a utility bill stating overseas address for example
- How do I join?
To join, please complete an application form. The Club membership year runs from the 1st of April – 31st of March the following year. When joining the Club throughout the year, members pay for only the number of months remaining until 31st March the following year.
- How do I add on my partner/family members?
Simply complete an Additional Family Member application form. A form can be requested by email on membership@stghltc.co.uk or obtained directly from the Membership office.
- Do I get a reward for introducing a friend who joins the Club?
If you introduce a friend to join the Club you will receive £200 onto your Club levy.
- I don’t know anyone at the club, how am I proposed and seconded?
All membership applications need to be proposed and seconded. This can be done in two ways:
i. Each week we hold a new members evening hosted by two of our board members. Our board members will introduce themselves and the club to you over a drink or two. The evening takes approximately 10-15 minutes and before concluding the board will propose and second your application.
ii. If you know two existing members, they are able to propose and second your application.
- How do I find out more about membership?

- What is the Club Levy?
The Club levy is an amount of money which is paid by the member and allocated to the membership account to pay for items at the bar, restaurant and Club events using the membership card. . When using the levy to pay for items members receive 10% off the menu prices. The levy can be topped up at any time throughout the year and all top up amounts will carry over to the following year.
- How do I order a barrier tag for the St Georges Hill estate security gates?
You can order a tag at reception. The tags take approximately ten days to arrive from the Residents Association and cost £18.50. They are valid for three years.
- Do you offer corporate membership?
We offer a range of corporate memberships. Please contact membership@stghltc.co.uk for a full list of corporate memberships
- Can I bring a guest(s) to the club?
You can bring guests to use the facilities at a cost of £10. All social guests are free of charge. All guests are asked to sign in at reception. You can bring the same adult guest in six times in a year.
