Adult Tennis
The adult coaching programme at St George's Hill offers something fantastic for everyone.
The programme works on a very simple Colour-Code system that clearly illustrates, at a glance, the sessions that are available to you.
The Colour-Code system is used in the ladies tennis programme. For men's tennis, we will be introducing a host of new classes and sessions, please check the latest programming listings for information.

How do I get involved?
The 2011 programme is downloadable below. All classes are defined by the Colour-Code. New players can obtain a Colour-Code, free of charge, by booking a half an hour play test with one of our tennis professionals. We will then be able to recommend the most appropriate Colour-Code and tennis sessions available to you.
Ways to play
The club offers a range of pay and play sessions on a weekly basis as well as term courses. The sign up for term based courses is at the start of the season. For classes with space still available it is possible to pay on a weekly basis.
Social Mix-ins
We offer two mix-in sessions during the week – Tuesday nights (6 -9pm with a £4 charge on the indoor courts in the winter) and Saturday afternoons (winter 1.30 – 3.45pm/summer 2 – 4.15pm). Open to any standards - No need to sign up – just turn up!
Junior Programme
The junior programme at St George's Hill offers exciting and challenging tennis for all ages and stages.
Aspiring to be one of the leading junior tennis providers in the UK, our programme is organised into two sections: Junior Club and Junior Club Performance.
Junior Club
At the heart of St George's Hill, Junior Club is all about learning and loving the game and is primarily aimed at once or twice a week players.
Junior Club Performance
An exciting and challenging extension of Junior Club, Junior Club Performance is aimed at players who are committed to playing 3 - 4 times per week. These players will be competing regularly and more focused on achieving specific performance goals.
Age and Equipment Guide
The modified equipment in Mini Tennis (Red, Orange and Green) is principally targeted at U10s, however, in order to provide the optimum learning environment there will be cross over in the use of ball colours and age groupings. Expect slower balls and smaller courts to be used to aid the teaching process at all levels.

Tennis Courts
At St George’s Hill we have 4 Poraflex courts, 3 all weather clay courts and 8 artificial grass courts available all year round plus 15 grass courts available from May through to September. We also have two indoor carpet courts, available all year round. There is no booking system for the outdoor courts but it is necessary to make a reservation for the indoor courts. Indoor courts can be booked up to 13 days in advance, with payment made at time of booking.
Floodlit Courts
We have 8 floodlight courts and these are available for booking at reception. Booking periods run for 90 minutes, finishing at 10.00pm. Courts cost £6 per session, payable at the time of play.
Please remember that when playing on the courts each item of clothing, including tracksuits, shoes and caps, must be predominantly white (90%) in both summer and winter. It is highly recommended that indoor tennis shoes are worn on the indoor tennis courts.
